Connecticut Seniors Meet With Senator Dodd to Discuss Health Care Insurance Sunday, July 25, 1999.
| Senator Dodd met with more than 150 residents of Tower One/Tower East to highlight the critical need to provide seniors with basic protections against medicare HMOs that abruptly terminate coverage. 6,000 Connecticut seniors have been dropped by their HMOs this year. More than 200,000 have been dropped nationwide. In April, Dodd reintroduced legislation he crafted last year to combat this growing problem. Dodd will also discuss Social Security, Medicare and the need to provide seniors with coverage for prescription medicines.
